Everyone makes mistakes but not everyone will own up to them. I’m thankful these guys are honest and friendly and family centric. It’s been over a year since they’ve finished our (major) project and it is amazing to me that they were able to predict the cost of such a large reno and stay within that budget. They’ve since returned multiple times to repair various things that haven’t held up as well as planned. I have no doubt they will commit to their warranty. We are already thinking of other smaller projects we can ask them to do.

This is the 3rd time CHART has done work for us. Previously they had finished our basement and done some main floor renovations. This time they did our 2nd floor, including the master bath. They put in all new hardwood flooring and new baseboards as well as door trims and hardware. Our front foyer staircase was also completely redone. We continue to use their services for several reasons: Excellent craftsman and teamwork with other trades in general, excellent planning and timetabling, and attention to detail all result in a successful result we are proud of.

We had a kitchen Reno with Chart. We were a little nervous at the beginning due to some bad experiences (with another company). From start to the end, the experience was stress free! Chart are very reasonable cost wise too. Communication was excellent throughout. Any problems were explained and options given clearly as well as any potential costs. They were on schedule. The app that they use was very helpful, you can check what they are doing that day as well as any changes in costs/selections. All the people that came in to do work (plumbers, electricians, flooring, demolition, kitchen fitters, painter, etc). were courteous and tidy!
I would definitely recommend Chart.

We had a fantastic experience with our CHART renovation this past spring. Our new basement is now a favourite place to go, and the upstairs fireplace with built-in shelving is a cozy, dramatic focal point in our family room. Corey, Matt, Marley and team were a pleasure to work with - their high standards met or exceeded ours, and the team was always respectful of our space. During the job, floors and walls were protected, and things were always left tidy at the end of each day. The project was completed on-schedule, and Marley helped to make adjustments to the plan along the way as we saw changes we wanted to make. We'd absolutely hire CHART again, and highly recommend them.

This review is way, way overdue. If we could give Chart and Project manager Jason and his team 6 stars we would. Very down to earth people that listen to what we wanted and offered great suggestions. We did a kitchen and main bathroom reno and some other extras last January of 2019. Chart kept on schedule even with some unforeseen challenges coming their way including bad weather. The trades people arrived on time and left on time and kept the site neat and tidy. They also have a lovely person on staff Amanda that helped with selecting colours for cabinets, flooring, paint, etc. She removed a lot of the anxiety of "are we selecting or doing the right thing?". It costs a little but worth every penny. Would we go with Chart again? Most definitely!!!

We hired Chart to build a kitchen addition to our home and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. The process took about 3 months. They were able to remain on schedule despite very rainy weather at the start of the project. Everyday there was always a contractor at the house doing a job. A small issue came up so we contacted Nick our project manager and they were there the next day to fix the problem. Jason and his team did a great job renovating our 92-year-old kitchen. There were numerous challenges to overcome due to the age of the home including major plumbing issues and reinforcing a ceiling joist that was previously compromised. After struggling to find what we wanted on the market in Waterloo, we bought an older home with the plan to do a complete reno. In 2018 we took on the most significant portion of the work - the main floor. With CHART we removed 2 load bearing walls, completely reworking the layout. Installed a gourmet kitchen, new windows, replaced a window with a glass door, re-worked an existing wood fireplace for gas logs, refinished our stairwell, new flooring... paint... the list goes on. Every interaction with CHART on the project from quote to completion felt like a partnership - the team brought their best to the table the entire way. We had CHART referred to us by a neighbor and we were extremely happy with the service and the quality of workmanship. Matt came to us to provide a quote. We had never done a renovation of any kind so this was new territory for us. Matt was so approachable and knowledgeable that I was relaxed and felt that I was in very competent hands.
